Expand your crochet skills and challenge your creativity in this hands-on Tunisian Crochet workshop led by Allison Harding. This class introduces the fundamentals of Tunisian crochet while guiding participants through the creation of a beautiful, functional button-up cowl.

During the workshop, students will learn foundational Tunisian crochet techniques including simple stitch, edge stitch, buttonholes, bind-off methods, and helpful tips for success. Allison will also share insight into the history of Tunisian crochet and how it differs from traditional crochet techniques.

The project works up quickly, making it a great gift or wearable piece to enjoy right away. This class is designed for confident beginners who already have basic crochet experience and are ready to learn something new.

Event Details

Good to Know

• Prerequisite: Basic beginner crochet skills required
• If you can make a chain stitch and a single crochet, you’re ready
• Open to ages 12+ with an accompanying adult
• No pre-work required

Student Materials Needed:
• Approximately 170 yards of worsted weight (#4 medium) yarn
– Solids, short or long color changes, or textured yarns work well
– Avoid very dark solid colors for better stitch visibility
• Six (6) buttons, ¾” to 1” (buttons do not need to be brought to class)
• Optional: yarn needle for weaving in ends, removable stitch marker
