Event Description
Spend the morning learning about sheep breeds and their unique fiber qualities during Spinning the Breeds with Amy Wolf, a hands-on educational class held as part of Shepherds’ Extravaganza at the Enumclaw Expo Center.
This half-day class explores how different sheep breeds produce fibers with distinct textures, strengths, and spinning characteristics. Participants will learn about breed-specific fleece preparation and fiber uses while gaining practical insight into spinning techniques. No prior experience is required.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a working spinning wheel, but those without one can still participate by learning fiber preparation techniques. Each participant will leave with over a pound of washed fleece.
