Event Description
Step back in time and explore the rural history of the Enumclaw Plateau with a special slide show presentation, “Barns of the Plateau Through the Years,” hosted at the Enumclaw Senior Community Center. This program features photographs of picturesque local barns taken since the 1960s—many of which no longer exist due to changes in farming, development, and the decline of dairies in the area. It’s a nostalgic, story-rich look at the landscapes, families, and working barns that helped shape the community.

Attendees are invited not only to enjoy the imagery, but also to help preserve local history. Long-time residents and “old timers” are especially encouraged to come and share their knowledge, memories, and any information that might help identify original owners or locations of the barns shown. This event is a warm, community-driven gathering where stories are welcomed, connections are made, and Enumclaw’s agricultural heritage is honored together.
