January Group Dance Lessons

Event Description:
Join Laughing Goat Botanical Gardens for a four-week group dance series focused on learning the Waltz and its sister Latin dance, the Rumba. These lessons are designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen foundational skills in a welcoming, social environment.

Classes are held in the historic barn ballroom, located upstairs in the loft. Participants will learn basic box steps, turning box patterns, underarm turns, and additional movements as time and proficiency allow. Dancing offers both social connection and physical benefits, supporting balance, coordination, and mental focus.

No partner is required. Participants are encouraged to rotate partners to build confidence in both leading and following. Appropriate dance footwear is recommended; closed-toe shoes that do not slip on or off are required, with leather or suede soles preferred.
