Prepare for cold & flu season by learning to make fire cider — a spicy, infused apple-cider vinegar tonic traditionally used to support immune health. Herbalist Kristyn Cook (M.S., Herbal Medicine) of Sacred Oak Apothecary will guide you through ingredient selection, safe preparation, and storage.
In class you’ll learn why specific herbs, roots, and aromatics (garlic, horseradish, ginger, onion, hot peppers, herbs, etc.) are commonly used, how to macerate and infuse safely, and how to finish and store your tonic. You can choose to make a quart or pint jar, and you’ll receive a straining bag for pressing, an amber jar to store your finished infusion, and detailed written instructions so you can reproduce the recipe at home.
This hands-on workshop is ideal for beginners and anyone wanting practical herbal skills for home apothecary use. Materials are provided — feel free to bring a notebook for extra notes. Class size is limited, so pre-register to save your spot.
