Dahlia Dividing Workshop

Learn the right way to lift, split, and store your dahlias at Laughing Goat Botanical Gardens’ Dahlia Dividing Workshop on Saturday, October 25, 2025, starting at 1:00 PM. Led by horticulturist and gardener Amy, this session draws on a decade of commercial experience planting, growing, digging, dividing, and storing dahlia tubers. You’ll get a step-by-step demonstration that explains not just how to divide a clump, but why each cut matters for plant health and vigorous blooms next season.

After the demo, you’ll put the lesson into practice. Each participant receives one tuber clump to divide during class with Amy guiding you through the process and answering questions. You’ll also take home two tubers, packaged in clearly labeled bags so they are ready to store and plant in spring. Advance registration is required and only ticketed guests may participate.
