Event Description:
Join Free the Green for a hands-on community restoration workday at Boise Creek! Volunteers will remove invasive plants, prepare the site for new growth, and install live stakes to support the return of native vegetation and improve habitat for local wildlife. This community effort offers an opportunity to learn ecological restoration techniques, connect with neighbors, and make a tangible impact on the environment.
Participants are encouraged to bring gloves, weather-appropriate clothing, boots, and water. A detailed location link is provided for easy access.
This restoration and education project is supported by the King County Cooperative Watershed Management Grant Program, with funding through the WRIA 10 Salmon Recovery Council and the King County Flood Control District. Additional thanks to partners including Orca Conservancy, EPCA, the City of Enumclaw, and King County Parks & Recreation. All ages and experience levels are welcome—come ready to make a difference!
